Crumbed Chicken


Make your own homemade signature Crumbs and Coatings mix using our range of Pride of India Dried Herbs and Seasonings.


They can be used to coat and fry fish cakes, crumbed chicken, crumbed prawns, chicken/fish strips, jalapeno poppers and cheese sticks.


We prepared our Crumbed Chicken using our Pride of India Lemon and Herb Seasoning, Thyme and Sage.


Serves 4.






1kg chicken, cut into pieces

2 large eggs, beaten

6 tbsp Pride of India Lemon and Herb Seasoning

2 tsp Pride of India Thyme

2 tsp Pride of India Sage

2 cups breadcrumbs

¾ cup plain flour

oil for frying




Steam chicken and add salt to taste.  Drain, cool and set aside.


In a bowl combine breadcrumbs, Pride of India Lemon and Herb Seasoning, Pride of India Thyme and Pride of India Sage. Add salt, if more is desired, and mix well.


Toss your chicken in flour.  Dip in egg.  Coat with your crumb mixture.


Fry in medium to hot oil until crispy and golden brown.


Remove from oil and transfer to a paper towel-lined tray to absorb the excess oil.


Serve and enjoy with creamy mac & cheese.
