Our oven-baked nachos are loaded with mince and cheese; prepared with our aromatic spices and dried herbs:
Pride of India Lamb Seasoning, Pride of India Cayenne Pepper,
Pride of India Mint and Pride of India Sage. Perfect appetizer for any occasion.

Serves 4 -6.
Nachos

Notes:

Substitute meat mince with any other mince of your choice.
For a vegetarian substitute, use our HomeStyle Soya Mince with any of our wide variety of masalas, curry powders, seasonings and dried herbs.

Ingredients

  • 700g meat mince of your choice
  • 4 tsp Pride of India Lamb Seasoning
  • 2 tsp Pride of India Cayenne Pepper
  • ½ tsp Pride of India Mint
  • ½ tsp Pride of India Sage
  • Pride of India Sea Salt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, finely sliced
  • 2 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1.5 cups grated cheese of your choice
  • ½ cup cucumbers, chopped
  • ½ cup tomatoes, chopped
  • 150g tortilla chips
  • water

Method

  • Heat oil in a large pan. Sauté onion until golden brown.
  • Add Pride of India Lamb Seasoning and Cayenne Pepper. Mix well.
  • Add crushed garlic. Fry for approximately 1 minute. Add a little water, if necessary.
  • Add meat mince.
  • Add Pride of India Sea Salt to taste.
  • Cook until the water has reduced and the mince is fully cooked. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Avoid soggy nachos by ensuring that all water has properly dried.
  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Spray a large pan.
  • Arrange mince evenly over the pan. Sprinkle mint and sage.
  • Arrange the tortilla chips over the mince.
  • Add grated cheese, cucumbers and tomatoes.
  • Bake for 7 to 10 minutes; or until the cheese has melted.
  • Serve with guacamole, salsa, jalapenos or sour cream.
