We prepared our burrito filling with our Pride of India Chicken Masala, Pride of India Garum Masala and HomeStyle Chickpeas.
Wholesome goodness in a toasted tortilla wrap.

Serves 4.
Spicy Chicken Burrito

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, finely sliced
  • 4 tsp Pride of India Chicken Masala
  • 1 tsp Pride of India Garum Masala
  • 100g HomeStyle Chickpeas, boiled
  • 1 tsp ginger & garlic paste
  • 4 medium chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • salad ingredients (such as carrots, lettuce, cucumber and tomato)
  • 4 tortilla wraps
  • salt
  • water

Method

  • Soak HomeStyle Chickpeas overnight or for a few hours. Add water to cover and boil until tender.
  • Heat oil in a pot. Sauté onion until golden brown.
  • Add Pride of India Chicken Masala, Pride of India Garum Masala and ginger & garlic paste. Mix and fry for approximately 1 minute. Add a little water, if necessary.
  • Add the chicken and cook for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Add the boiled HomeStyle Chickpeas, a little water and season with salt.
  • Cook for another 10 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Burrito filling is ready when the water has reduced and you have achieved your desired consistency.
  • Lightly toast your tortilla wraps for about 10-15 seconds.
  • Add your chicken and chickpea filling, accompanied by your choice of salads such as carrots, lettuce, cucumber and tomato.
